Process Explorer
The Process Explorer is a unique program because it displays information about the DLLs and handles processes have loaded. It can also be a tracking program for DLL-version problems and/or the leaks in the handle that paves the way of giving an idea on how Windows and its applications work.
This program shows the individual two sub-windows. The first window located at the top shows current active processes. The owning account names are displayed on the same window. The second window of information, located at the bottom, depends on the Process Explorer mode it is in. When in handle mode, then you’ll see handle process selected. If in DLL mode, then the information will be about the memory-mapped files and DLLs that were selected.
The Process Explorer is great in searching because it displays processes having specific handles opened or DLLs loaded in an instant. The program can be utilized with the Windows 9x/Me/NT 4.0/2000/XP/Vista and Server 2003. The 64-bit versions of the same operating system for x64 processors are also compatible with the Process Explorer.
